Almost shameful!
Oh dear, can't believe it has been so long since I posted that I should hang my head in shame.
But I won't because I have been busy, just with loads of other things. Will try to get myself in gear later in the week and put up some photos to show that that is indeed the case!

Leo's quilt top ready for backing
Love what this is looking like now! Going to back it with the stripe and then machine quilt - perhaps next weekend at Latrobe!

Leo's quilt - on the way!
One of the girls who grew up with my boys has just had her first baby, Leo. Neither she nor her mum sews and she loves handmade articles, so here is Leo's cot quilt. Her only request was for bright colours, which meant going to the leftover bag from Addison's Mother Goose quilt.
Part 1
9 Patch |
Part 2
Disappearing 9 Patch |
And borders to come, hopefully tomorrow night!
How different this looks from the first part!

Autumn in Tassie
On our way to Launceston then off to the Wilted Quilters' Friendship Day at George Town. It's clear skies and the sun is shining - BUT it is bitterly cold. I've got on my gorgeous cobalt blue hat and scarf which haven't seen the light of day since London in January!
Here's why it's so cold - May 4 2013, bit early Mother Nature!!

Busy April!
Easter was shortened this year as a result of Tassie going to 4 terms - none of which match up with the mainland states - go figure! First term ended on 19 April so it is currently school holidays. I had loads of plans, but then crashed and burned for the first week with a virus that hit like a ton of bricks on day 2 of the Kerry Swain workshop. This week I have energy again and have managed to add a few things to my OPAM list for the month.
My April SAL was done and dusted early this month and looks great!
I made two of these at school for storing bits and pieces on the Textiles trolley - good way to use up some curtain bits!
The second one is Autumn shades.
Made one at home as well with Fashionable 50s ladies on it and have several more lined up to come off the production line!
Two pairs of mittens are made, but only one pair can be claimed as finished this month - when I blocked them, one pair had a join - with the wrong dye lot and boy, did it show! So it has been reknitted, reblocked and is awaiting stitching.
I have also made two bags over the weekend - photos will come, but they are on my phone, so I have to upload separately. They look great, but need a bit of tweaking for the next version :)
