January OPAM finishes

Click on the OPAM 2012 page to see these photos better.

I have been working pretty steadily to get through my bits and pieces before school goes back. I've played a bit with friends at Deloraine last week as well :)

What do you think???

I've put photos of all the items I have made this month onto my OPAM 2012 page. What do you think? Should I just put them onto the normal blog and somehow link them to the photos?? Happy with what I have achieved so far this year - have a jade coloured winter jacket finished, just needs stitching up and buttons as well as a nearly complete Happy Christmas banner. So will shortly be 2 Feb finishes as well.

Welcome to our world, little one!

On Sunday, 730am we welcomed Mattea Jessie Estelle into our family, a tiny 8lb 15oz! DH and I went up in the afternoon for the welcoming cuddle and champagne cheers with dinner.
Very new - about 10 hours old.
Very long finger nails at birth and scratches on her face and forehead from them.

A caption could read -
you'd better get in more practice -
this isn't very comfy you know!

A whole new world for this little family!

Full internet again, so catch up time!

Chooky shared how I could email my photos more quickly than uploading them and it worked! Thanks heaps :)
Now that everyone has received their swap presents, it's time to post them here.
Chookyblue's SSCS. I sent to Florence who lives near my friend Michèle in Alsace, France. We had a private bag swap recently and by the time she received it, I knew that she was to be my secret partner - at least I had the chance to make something that would go with it!

Happy New Year, 2012!

Our house is on the hill behind Burnie and as we looked down into the gully last night, we caught the last of the fireworks bringing in 2012, so I've played with them. Hope you all had a great New Year's Eve in your part of the world or that you you will have soon :)

Show and tell time!

Have just spent a lovely hour plus talking with Bec, who was my FIS swap partner. Was so nice to talk in real time and such a surprise too! Thanks for the call :)
Here are photos of the Secret Santa gifts I sent to her:
Rat bag - for string, Christmas curly wrap, etc - made by a friend though ;)
Spring top glasses purse, Scissor keeper, tape measure in a tin, emery board, soap and bobbins for threads.

Machine embroidered lace window decoration

Red Brolly large bag made in Civil War Reproduction fabrics on checked Sandcastle

Loved making this bag and am really and truly going to make one for me as well!!! I'm so pleased that Bec is happy with her gifts, was a pleasure to make them.
